Samantha Foley
Assistant Principal
Sam graduated with a degree in Spanish and European Business Studies before completing her PGCE in 2009 at Liverpool John Moores University. She began her teaching career at Parklands High School, where she spent five years teaching Spanish.
In 2014, she joined Fazakerley High School as a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, making a significant impact by introducing Spanish to the curriculum and fostering a love for languages in her students. She became head of MFL in 2019, a position in which she continued to advocate for language learning as essential for students’ academic and personal growth. She views languages as a gateway to new opportunities, helping students to not only excel academically but also benefit from the personal and professional benefits of multilingualism.
Recently, Sam was appointed Assistant Principal at Dixons Fazakerley Academy, where she is responsible for overseeing the Quality of Education. In this leadership role, Sam aligns her efforts with the academy's mission to ensure every student achieves their full potential through a relentless focus on high standards and strong values. She is driven by the belief that excellent teaching and a rigorous curriculum are key to transforming student outcomes, and she is committed to providing an education that empowers young people to become confident, well-rounded individuals ready to meet future challenges.
