Dixons Fazakerley works in partnership with the LFC Foundation

Year 10 students from Dixons Fazakerley have been working alongside the LFC Foundation (the official charity of Liverpool Football Club) and Action for Children as part of an eight week early intervention programme focusing on improving young people's mental health.

The sessions are developed to help young people with their wellbeing and equip them with the tools to help them with their feelings. The programme does this through games, challenges, discussions, and techniques. At the end of the programme, the students were invited to Liverpool Football Club for a graduation ceremony.

During the afternoon, they were able to play games and meet some of the under 18 Liverpool players who have just signed a contract for the club. They were also presented with certificates and two students received a medal. After the graduation, four of our students were invited back to be filmed answering questions about how they felt about the programme and how they had benefitted from it.

Our students should be very proud of themselves as they were selected because of how they conducted themselves throughout the programme, always showing commitment to our core values.
