LFC Foundation Literacy Workshop – Celebrating Storytelling Week

On Friday, some of our students had the incredible opportunity to attend a Literacy Workshop hosted by the LFC Foundation in celebration of Storytelling Week. The workshop focused on the theme of belonging, allowing students to create their own pieces of work while being inspired by a range of local professionals who share their stories to inspire others.

Guest speakers included singer-songwriter Jamie Webster, author Daniel Fieldsend, poet Emily Tootle, and media and radio specialist Jade Burns. Students also took part in an engaging activity where they created their own book titles, reflecting on what belonging means to them and what shapes their identity.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the LFC Foundation for this fantastic opportunity. All students represented the Academy with pride, embodying our three core values throughout the event.
