Year 7 Meet and Greet

On Monday 14th October, DFA held a Meet and Greet event for students and families in the Class of 2029.

Families met with staff members including the Principal, members of the leadership team and the Year 7 advisors to discuss how our Year 7 students have settled into life at DFA. Families were also able to discuss our homework provision and have any queries that they had answered. It was a pleasure to welcome the families into the Academy. The Class of 2029 have made a fantastic start to life at DFA by showing determination, integrity and respect and it has been wonderful to see.

It was also great to hear the families feed back to DFA about how their children had been enjoying life at DFA, as well as hearing our DFA students tell us that they were happy and content in school and ready to strive for success. Comments included that they ‘love being at DFA and joining in all of the enrichment electives at lunch time’. Many families stated that they were very proud of their children and, everyone at DFA is proud of them too!

Thank you very much to all who attended the evening and well done to Year 7 on a brilliant start to their time at DFA.
